Christmas comedy show Laffs4Kids began in 2015 after award-winning North East comedian, Jason Cook, was covering a show on Metro Radio and discovered that there were thousands of local children living in poverty who would potentially wake up to nothing on Christmas Day. He pledged to help put this right, contacted his comedy friends and Laffs4Kids was born!
Produced and compered by Jason, the show is a fantastic feel-good Christmas experience bringing together some of the best stand-up acts and maybe some special guests too… Join us at the Utilita Arena in Newcastle this December for the biggest Laffs4Kids ever, and don’t forget to bring a gift for a North East child living in poverty.

Cash for Kids is the official charity of Hits Radio and Greatest Hits Radio North East, dedicated to improving the lives of disadvantaged children and young people from the moment they’re born up to and including the age of 18.
Every year their Mission Christmas appeal aims to ensure that local children living in poverty across wake up to a gift from Santa on Christmas Day. So many families are struggling to heat their homes and put food on the table, that Christmas just can’t be a priority. By coming to Laffs4Kids and bringing a gift to donate you’re making a huge difference.
In 2023, thanks to the generosity of the North East, Mission Christmas provided gifts for 41,356 local children.
